Former ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru says he does not miss the trappings of power associated with top government positions. When I was in the office, there were many things to do, people waiting for me and meetings to address. Mucheru however said most of the power associated with Cabinet positions is not real but perceived. He said people tend to believe a Cabinet Secretary is very powerful because they fly flags on their official cars and are always in meetings with diplomats and even Heads of State. Mucheru further revealed people used to believe he was selfish when he did not do what they wanted.
