Photo: BSSNARSINGDI, Jan 21, 2026 (BSS) - Widespread enthusiasm is sweeping across Narsingdi ahead of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman's upcoming visit, as the district unit of the party completes extensive preparations to host a major public rally. Tarique Rahman is set to formally launch his election campaign on Thursday from Sylhet, known as the land of 360 saints. Preparations at the rally venue beside the Dhaka-Sylhet highway near Basail Municipal Park have reached their final stage. Local BNP leaders have described Tarique Rahman's visit as highly significant, noting that this will be his first public rally in Narsingdi as BNP Chairman. "This is the first visit to Narsingdi by Tarique Rahman after a long gap since Begum Khaleda Zia's visit," said Khairul Kabir Khokon.
