Locals found the elephant lying dead at the foot of the Camperchar hill of Rajghat Bit under the Fulchhari range of the northern forest division on December 20. The local forest department is yet to provide an explanation for the animal’s death. According to locals, the elephant was mysteriously found lying dead at the spot, with no clues about what had happened to it.
