The Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation project aims to target participants aged between five and 11, encouraging them to engage more with football in a friendly environment. Although it is known for its Rugby League connections, in recent years, Wakefield Trinity Ladies FC have utilised their resources, offering women and young girls the opportunity to thrive in the sport sector. Through these all-new Wildcats centres, the women’s game is being given the nutrients to grow, hopefully offering the chance for more girls to graduate through the system. Wakefield Trinity LFC chairman Craig Shepherd said: “I am delighted that Trinity LFC have been able to play a part in getting these centres up and running.
