May God have mercy on the deceased; we send our condolences to our footballer Wilfred Ndidi, his family and relatives,” the Turkish club said. Sunday Ndidi, a retired military officer, was rushed to hospital after the crash but was sadly pronounced dead. Sunday Ndidi was widely regarded as a strong influence in his son’s life, having served his country in the military before retirement.
