It’s not something that fans of the Dallas Mavericks want to dwell on. At the end of this season, his 21st, Dirk Nowitzki may retire. Within the past several years, however, the number of questions put to Nowitzki about when he may retire have increased. During media day, Carlisle joked that Nowitzki was the only reason that he’s been with the organization for 11 years. Even with all those accomplishments, Nowitzki is humble about how he wants to be remembered when he does finally call it quits.
