It triggered a bit of a firestorm in the community with people demanding that the changes be removed: "revert" became a rallying cry. To start with, I should note that Epic might still revert the changes with next weeks' patch. There are 250 million Fortnite players, most of which might go entire games without kills. This is not a reality that exists yet, mostly due to the technical challenges with Arena mode. But I can more easily see Epic working to improve the technical stability of Arena mode than I can see it reverting the unpopular changes.
