The 29-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Wolves, where he failed to impress during a difficult campaign for the Midlands club. However, Jose could easily have been playing at Old Trafford had Ole Gunnar Solskjaer got his way. United ended up signing Odion Ighalo on an emergency loan but Jose claims he was the striker that Solskjaer wanted and he was aggrieved that Sociedad blocked the move.
