Wiltshire school has day to remember at Lord's Cricket Ground


Schools competing were from across the country, with Lord’s Taverners President and cricket legend David Gower and current England star Reece Topley among those in attendance. This past year has seen over 6,500 young people playing the game, benefitting from immeasurable personal development opportunities through table cricket. Pupil Matthew Tonner, 14, was among the Springfields team and hopes that they can return to Finals Day again in the future. We’ve gone from Wiltshire champions to regional champions, and we’ve learnt a lot which we will know for next time. I think we have a lot to learn, but I think we can get there again one day.”The Lord’s Taverners impacts the lives of young people facing the challenges of inequality.
