Snow and ice have caused treacherous conditions across vast swathes of the UK, with a low of minus 12.6C recorded at Braemar in the Highlands last week. A yellow weather warning is still in place across much of Scotland for snow and ice until midday today with up to 6cm expected on higher ground. We will see another weather system pushing in from the west and that is going to bring hill snow to Scotland but elsewhere it will bring rain…
