Winnipeg Jets forward Morgan Barron endured a gruesome injury during Game 1 of the Western Conference first-round series against Vegas Golden Knights. Barron received more than 75 stitches to his face after being cut by Vegas goalie Laurent Brossoit‘s skate. The injury occurred during a scramble in front of the Vegas net in the first period, but Barron made a valiant return to the ice less than a period later. Despite the severity of his injury, Barron managed to play a significant role in his team’s 5-1 victory. After the incident, Barron visited the Jets’ locker room to receive treatment.
