During his testimony on Monday, Imran said that Hasina had visited him and others receiving treatment in hospital. But upon realising they were involved in the protest movement, she allegedly issued a “no release, no treatment” order to hospital staff. Imran, currently a Master’s student at Dhaka College, is the second witness to testify in the case over crimes against humanity related to the violent crackdown on last year's July Uprising. The court previously heard the testimony of Khokon Chandra Barman, who was shot in Dhaka’s Jatrabari area during the anti-government protests. Mamun had previously admitted to the charges and applied to become an “approver” or state witness, a request that the tribunal accepted.
