Wolverhampton Wanderers could be relegated as early as 16 March from the Premier League following a forgettable campaign. Wolves' next three league games see them face back-to-back home matches against Aston Villa and Liverpool before a trip to Brentford. Theoretically, Wolves would therefore be relegated if Leeds pick up one more point, Tottenham earn three more and Nottingham Forest gain five. Should that happen Wolves would be relegated with seven matches remaining and break the Premier League record for the earliest a team has been relegated. If Wolves do maintain their current 17-point gap to 17th-placed Nottingham Forest during that spell, Wolves would not be relegated until facing Leeds on 18 April.
