Residents of the Bukuru Low-cost community in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State were on Tuesday thrown into mourning and shock following the discovery of the dead body of a woman dumped in a river in the locality. “This is terrible, we can’t believe someone would kill a person and dump their body in our river. The woman’s body was taken to the mortuary for further examination.”At the time of filing this report, the state police command’s spokesman, Alabo Alfred, had not responded to inquiries regarding the discovery. Eyewitnesses said the discovery was made by a farmer who noticed a dog sniffing a polythene bag with flies hovering around it at the dump. “He told me he had been chasing away a dog that was sniffing a polythene bag.
