An Illinois State Police Trooper discovered a serious crash involving two trucks and a passenger vehicle on I-94 WEST at Mile Marker 24 about 2:06 p.m. Thursday March 31, 2022. Additional Illinois State Police Troopers and firefighters and paramedics from Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District, Northbrook Fire Department and Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Protection District responded to the report of a crash with injuries on I-94 WEST (northbound) near Deerfield. The trooper discovered the crash in Lane 1 of I-94 WEST and called for EMS to expedite. With Lanes 1 & 2 closed, I-294 WEST (northbound) was backed up to Central Road near Glenview at 5:40 p.m. I-94 WEST (northbound) was backed up to Lake Cook Road at 5:40 p.m. The scene was clear by about 6:00 p.m.An orange Freightliner semi-trailer truck and a Ford truck with a trailer were involved in the crash with the Chevrolet.
