Her daughter, Cherie Tirikatene, said it has been hard to see how the attack has affected her mother. "I just want him to pay for what he's done to me and how it's ruined my life, actually." A 20-year-old man has been charged in relation to the attack and will appear in Christchurch District Court on July 24.
