Hours after purchasing a car, a 23-year-old woman from Ulhasnagar, on Monday, ran over another woman, killing her. The victim – 55-year-old Ratnabai Thorat –was heading to the market when she met with the accident and later, succumbed to her injuries. “After the accident, we alerted Thorat’s son, who is a rickshaw driver. But during the treatment, Thorat succumbed to her injuries. After the statement from Thorat’s son was recorded, a case of rash and negligent driving under Motor Vehicle Act was registered”, added Kahde.
