Firefighters brought the house fire under control on Friday morning. File photograph: iStockA woman in her 60s has died following a house fire in Cork. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Fire services extinguished the blaze, secured the site and a technical examination of the scene has been completed. The deceased was taken to the local mortuary for a postmortem examination.
