A woman died while her husband and two children were critically injured in Ahmedabad Tuesday when a speeding car allegedly hit a makeshift shanty on the pavement, in which the family was sleeping. According to police, four persons who were travelling in the car fled the spot after the accident. The footage also shows another car racing away adjacent to the i20 car during the accident. “The maximum capacity of our night shelter is 30 people and we are already overcrowded. However we tried to rehabilitate them in another shelter near IIM Ahmedabad but they didn’t agree,” said Ketan Patel, a volunteer at the night shelter.
