The accused is Akash Pandey, 16, a ninth grade student at Talimpur Telihati High School. The victim is Hashi Rani Pandey, 35, daughter of Juran Baroi, hailing from Madaripur, and the wife of Monoranjan Pandey, 37. A team led by Gopalganj's Additional Superintendent of Police Md Sanwar Hossain arrested Akash after the incident took place about three months ago. On the night of June 26, a dispute stirred between the victim and her son over a trifling matter, according to the confessional statement of Akash.
