According to the results released on Monday, 46,046 candidates took the Chinese Language paper, 1,932 fewer than the previous year. However, the passing rate edged up slightly from 95.5% to 95.9%. For Chinese Literature, the number of candidates decreased by 45 to 1,641 in 2025. In contrast, the percentage of candidates achieving top grades rose significantly from 27.3% in 2024 to 34.8% in 2025. The passing rate for the subject also improved, increasing from 85.1% in 2024 to 90.7% in 2025.
