In the hearing before judge Albert Wong Sung-hau yesterday, the defense said X proposed to have sex with Lam and in exchange he would purchase insurance products from her. The defense also accused X of telling Lam that having sex in exchange for customers agreeing to buy insurance products would allow both of them to get what they need. She denied having consensual sex with Lam, adding she left his flat after taking a shower following the alleged rape. But X denied the claim and suspected Lam had planned to take her home to rape her. "Lam pretended he wanted to buy the insurance and raped me as if I was his prey," she said.
