Police were called to the store in Wilton Street, Millbridge, on the afternoon of Saturday, March 21, following reports of a disturbance. In court, Turpin pleaded guilty to a charge of assaulting an emergency worker - namely a police officer - at Derriford Hospital on November 18, 2025, by spitting on him. She also pleaded guilty to damaging £3,005 worth of property belonging to the Co-operative store. Three charges of common assault - on three different people - and a charge of theft of tobacco from the store were withdrawn by the Crown Prosecution Service.
