The pair had ordered a takeaway when 39-year-old Chadwick started questioning her partner about his past. Mr Jones said Chadwick , who was also his carer, ripped his T-shirt then attacked him with a steak knife, Liverpool Echo reports. Liverpool Crown Court heard the couple had been in a relationship for around two years and lived at Mr Jones' home in Bootle, Merseyside. Mr Jones said Chadwick started "kicking off", asking him: "Why have you been so secretive about everything? The court heard Mr Jones had withdrawn his support for the prosecution and chose not to made a victim statement.
