Woman who was born with both male and female genitalia says doctors decided she was a boy at birth

A woman, who was born with both male and female genitalia has told how doctors decided she was a boy 'without he consent' at birth. After years of struggling and bullying because of her gender identity, Luna has now rejected the male gender assigned to her at birth and instead adopted she/her pronouns. Intersex is a term used when a person is born with reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn't fit the boxes of 'female' or 'male'. Sometimes doctors do surgeries on intersex babies and children to make their bodies fit binary ideas of 'male' or 'female'. Luna now hopes to raise awareness of intersex people and to encourage others to be more accepting of different gender identities.
