Thankfully, despite the best efforts of the SNP-Green Government, gender self-identification has ultimately not come into law in Scotland. Today, that decision was upheld by the courts, and all across Scotland, women will have been breathing a sigh of relief at this win for common sense and women’s rights. The case caused justified outrage when a male-bodied double rapist, formerly known as Adam Graham, was sent to Scotland’s women’s prison. Whether or not you support the ideas of For Women Scotland, I hope we can all agree that Parliament should be a space where debate is encouraged - not shut down.
