World Cup 2026: Scotland confirm Charlotte as training base

Scotland will set up camp at the home of Charlotte FC for the duration of the World Cup, the Scottish FA has announced. National team head coach Steve Clarke visited facilities in America after December's draw - which pitted Scotland against Haiti, Morocco and Brazil in the group stage. The Scottish FA has now settled on working from MLS side Charlotte FC's state-of-the-art training facility, with the squad staying nearby. The 52,000-square-foot facility has eight pitches and all that Scotland will need as they prepare for their return to the World Cup for the first time since 1998. Scotland face Haiti in Boston in their group stage opener on Sunday, 14 June (02:00 BST) in Boston.
