Many who attended the summit described Ruto as a courageous leader who took to the stage to present key problems that Africa has been facing on issues to do with climate. Approximately 30,000 delegates attended the summit, including prominent figures like the top US climate diplomat, John Kerry, President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, and numerous African leaders. Mutua’s Twitter message read, “I think besides President Ruto’s stellar performance at the Africa Climate Summit, the star of the moment is Environment CS Soipan Tuya.
