Early in the year, seven state governors went to the Presidential Villa with a view to persuading the president to seek reelection. One of the governors, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, even went a step further to say that there is no alternative for President Buhari. Early in the year, President Buhari tried to explain away his slowness in taking decisions even in critical times. President Buhari has served Nigeria well, he does not need a second term to achieve greatness; it is already earned. President Buhari should not allow himself to be turned into a circus object meant to earn money for his equestrians.
