Airlines say that charging additional fees for priority boarding, baggage and roomier seats is part of an effort to give travelers more options. But these days, airlines have moved to “unbundle” services, part of an effort they say to offer travelers more choice to pay what they choose. After all, they reason, why should you have to pay to bring a suitcase aboard when you’ve only got a carry-on? Want extra legroom, then how about paying a little extra for premium economy? Do you like being able to pick and choose the options you want or do you miss the days when everything was included?
