Property developer Marjan, RAK Hospitality and Wynn Resorts have selected HKS Architects as the design consultant for their joint multi-billion dollar integrated resort on Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The integrated resort will feature over 1,000 hotel rooms, convention facilities, high-end shopping and a gaming floor, and will be situated on the man-made Al Marjan Island. It will also be Wynn Resorts’ first development in the Middle East and North Africa region, and the first casino resort at all in the Middle East. In order to operate the resort, Marjan and Wynn Resorts must apply for an integrated resort licence from the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Authority. “We will bring our global expertise and wealth of experience in luxury hotels and resorts to design something truly unique, sustainable and befitting of this new era of tourism focused on quality and one-of-a-kind guest experiences.”
