Yeshi Kassa, the great-granddaughter of Ethiopia's last emperor, said the late Queen Elizabeth privately supported her new documentary about the horrors her family faced in prison and exile
Kassa spoke to Insider about the documentary and said the late Queen privately showed her support. 12 members of the royal family were held in a 154-square-foot room with no running water and giant rats. Kassa added that she's extremely grateful to the British royal family and British public for their support during the revolution. After 14 years in prison, seven female members of the royal family were released in May 1988, AP News reported at the time.
