Yobe State Police Command has commenced a manhunt for an 18-year-old housewife who allegedly attacked her 25-year-old husband, inflicting a deep cut on his genitalia. The announcement was made by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, in a statement issued to journalists in Damaturu on Saturday, stating that the Command recorded a disturbing case of domestic violence involving grievous bodily harm. He was subsequently referred to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Azare, where he is currently receiving treatment. The Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Ado, strongly condemned the act and emphasised that marriage should be built on mutual respect, understanding, patience, and tolerance. The Command assured that it remains committed to the protection of lives and dignity and will ensure that anyone found culpable is brought to justice.
