There are unconfirmed reports that tremors have been felt as far away as Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire. UK Weather Update was first to tweet there had been a "confirmed magnitude 3.6 earthquake Yorkshire/Lincs with effects felt elsewhere". The EMSC, an independent scientific organisation which provides real-time earthquake information, says that a 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck 26km south-east of Hull at around 11.15pm. Claire Hughes tweeted: "Someone tell me that was an earthquake creaked the house, felt it come up the street - I'm shaking like a leaf #hull # hu5."
