Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has yet again dared the Azimio to return to the streets and asked them to stop intimidating Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome. "If the Azimio team wants to go back to the street, they should, the IG is doing his work professionally," he said. Gachagua said had the Azimio team not gone to the streets, there would not have been any issue between the demonstrators and the police. On April 6, Gachagua vowed to protect the property of Kenyans from destruction in the face of chaotic street protests. "They (Azimio) are threatening to go back to the streets, no problem.
