Donald Trump on Wednesday backed the cop in the fatal shooting of Rayshard Brooks, telling Sean Hannity: 'You can't resist a police officer.' The president spoke out hours after prosecutors brought murder charges against Garrett Rolfe who shot Brooks in the back outside a Wendy's in Atlanta last Friday. Calling it 'a terrible situation' Trump told Fox News: 'You can't resist a police officer. A second officer, Devin Brosnan, 26, stood on Brooks' shoulder as he struggled for his life, Howard said. When Mr. Brooks turned and pointed an object at Officer Rolfe, any officer would have reasonably believed that he intended to disarm, disable or seriously injure him,' the lawyers said.
