Kevin Hamilton subjected the woman to a horror ordeal which also included him refusing to allow her to leave his home. The 35-year-old struck having left another female traumatised and scarred for life. Hamilton was also guilty of assaulting the earlier victim to her permanent disfigurement between June 2012 and January 2015 at addresses in Cumbernauld. The court was told that Hamilton had already served a string of jail-terms having convictions for violence and weapons. In connection with the second victim, Judge Andrew Cubie told Hamilton: "This involved a degree of control against a young vulnerable woman, who you seemed to have opportunistically taken into your home.
