Photo: BSSRAJSHAHI, Dec 21, 2025 (BSS)- Adviser to the Social Welfare Ministry andWomen and Children Affairs Ministry Sharmeen S Murshid has said the younggeneration brought revolutionary change through the ages, including theLiberation War in 1971 and July Uprising in 2024. She said the Varendra University (VU) has established its own identity as thecreative institution in the higher seats of learning and it has been possiblewithin the shortest time of establishment by dint of proper leadership,planning and maintaining standard. Sharmeen S Murshid also said the VU can make its curricular programmes moremodern and time fitting for sustainable solutions of various existingproblems, particularly drought, river erosion and climate change, in thenorthern region. As chair of the convocation, Sharmeen S Murshid formally conferred degrees asthe faculty Deans presented graduates from their respective faculties one byone.
