The incident took place at Paschim Sonarpara village under Jaliapang union of Ukhiya upazila on Saturday morning. The victim’s sister Zobaida Begum filed a verbal complaint with Ukhiya police station against accused Jalal Ahmed and his gang. Zobaida said: “Without any crime being committed by my brother, Jalal Ahmed detained him in Sonarpara Bazar and tortured him on allegations of stealing a cow. Besides, Jalal tied my brother to a tree and shaved his head after putting a garland of shoes around his neck. Jalal Ahmed tied the boy to a tree and tortured him.
