Photo : BSSCHATTOGRAM, March 20, 2026 (BSS) - Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury announced that the Zia Memorial Museum in the Kazir Deuri area of the city will be soon declared as a heritage site. The Finance Minister made these remarks during his visit to the Zia Memorial Museum near the Chattogram Circuit House on Friday afternoon. Chowdhury expressed concern that establishments related to the Liberation War, including the Zia Memorial Museum in Chattogram, have not received adequate attention. The Zia Memorial Museum was established at the site where President Ziaur Rahman was assassinated on May 30, 1981.
