Dr. Menk told over 5,000 Liberian Muslims to desist from physical and speech violence. Mufti Menk said Allah created everybody different, to show his uniqueness, and urged Muslims to be kind to their parents and also to animals. The Mufti urged Liberian Muslims to improve “your characters and actions toward each other and to non-Muslims,” saying that praying five times a day is not enough. “We need to discipline ourselves and stop the bad and abusive ways and have a way that will uplift people,” Mufti Menk said. Mufti Menk was named one of the 500 Most Influential Muslims in the world by The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies.
