Alex Chesterman, 48, has raised more than £30m from backers including the publisher of the Daily Mail for his new venture, Cazoo. Cazoo will sell refurbished cars online, deliver them to customers’ homes within 48 hours and offer a seven-day free returns policy. “It is one of the biggest retail spaces in which you can’t transact online in this country,” he said.
