NBC’s Savannah Guthrie is “set to drop out of hosting the 2026 Winter Olympics opening ceremony” as her mother, Nancy Guthrie, “remains missing.” Guthrie was set to co-host the ceremony alongside Terry Gannon, which would have marked her fourth time hosting an Olympic opening ceremony. Gold medal-winning snowboarder Shaun White was also “expected to join” Guthrie and Gannon in the broadcast booth. Guthrie was “going to stay in Italy for a week to record ‘Today’ alongside former co-host Hoda Kotb." (PAGE SIX, 2/2). There is a key question at the heart of all this: Is Melania Trump interesting? I mean, I suppose there’s something compelling about the trajectory of her life story, most of which this film doesn’t touch on. It more resembles something that would be produced by the White House video team, only minus the overt hints of white nationalism.
