Ten Air Canada passengers left the Ottawa airport without clearing customs Sunday night, after arriving on an international flight from Cancun, Mexico. When Air Canada Flight 1413 landed at the airport around 8 p.m., "customers were inadvertently misdirected when leaving the aircraft" through a swing gate used for both international and domestic flights, the airline said. Air Canada said 192 passengers were aboard the flight. While most of the 192 passengers aboard the flight were redirected to customs, 10 left the airport without being processed, Air Canada said. In a statement Saturday, CBSA confirmed 10 passengers left the airport without clearing customs.

Canada wants to look at joint ventures and investments with Chinese companies within the next three years to build a Canadian electric vehicle with Chinese knowledge, according to a senior Canadian official. The official, who spoke on the condition they not be named, said the goal is for Canada to become the first country in North America to build this type of EV. It’s a fundamental error, the official said, to think that U.S. President Donald Trump will not allow Chinese electric vehicles into the United States. When asked about Canada detouring from matching American tariffs on Chinese EVs, Trump said Carney was doing the right thing. Foreign automakers that won’t manufacture vehicles in Canada will be subject to terms that aren’t as beneficial, the official said.

The crusty escapees were mostly wrangled up — before the businessman in charge of their transport got some news that made him quite crabby. McLaughlin's Car Dismantlers and RecoveryAt first he wasn’t overly concerned. According to the Donegal Daily, the truck was bound for Portugal eateries with $97,000 worth of brown crab caught by Irish fishermen, when it careened off the road. Donegal County Council immediately closed the road to allow for a massive recovery operation, reported the Donegal Daily. Shortly after the rescue operation, McLaughlin was told the whole lot had to be disposed of as they were not fit for human consumption after their misadventure.

This year, that player is Gabe Jacas, and he’s quietly one of my favorite EDGE fits for the Dallas Cowboys. Jacas plays strong, stays disciplined, and finishes more reps than he loses. Jacas isn’t chasing sacks on every snap, he will be collapsing space, closing escape lanes, and forcing hurried throws. Gabe Jacas’ Draft ValueWe all know Dallas is lacking a second-round pick. I see a George Karlaftis type of player in Gabe Jacas.

The stablecoin was created by World Liberty Financial, a crypto firm co-founded by Witkoff, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Barron Trump. And crypto presents a clear, hard to trace method for enriching the Trump and Witkoff families. No country has received more favours from the Trump administration than Qatar. "The message is the same throughout the Trump administration since Week 1," said Payne.

Donald Trump barely shrugged when asked about the deal Prime Minister Mark Carney forged with China this week. I mean, it's a good thing for him to sign a trade deal. If you can get a deal with China, you should do that, right?” said Trump at the White House on Thursday. U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday it's a 'good thing' that Carney signed a deal with China. But he too wonders if the Americans are hoping to glean important information for their own trade deal.

Nobody said tanking was easy, and while the benefits are obvious, maybe these guys could throw us a bone? That road trip couldn't have gone any worse for the Canucks, honestly. I am already feeling uneasy at just how bad they're going to look tonight. Unfortunate for him and the Oilers, but potentially a ray of light for the Canucks if they hope to not hit double digits on this losing skid. GAME DAY CHATTER#CanucksHere's a fun and curious rumour for your Saturday morning.

Two years after a “pause” on new approvals for wind and solar farms was lifted, 14 major renewable energy projects have yet to break ground in southeastern Alberta. The Brooks solar field near the southern Alberta city was one of the first utility-scale solar projects in the province when it opened in 2017. Both will affect an energy project’s business plans, leading renewables companies to put work on hold. Worry over rural tax baseThose two municipalities are home to 60,000 oil and gas wells considered to be marginally economical, according to provincial government reports. According to the Business Renewables Centre, 16 Alberta municipalities each received more than $1 million in tax revenue from renewable power projects operating in their jurisdictions.

On Friday, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced a three-year China deal that will relax tariffs on canola, peas and seafood in exchange for allowing the import of 49,000 Chinese-made electric vehicles per year. Before announcing it, Carney said that this new friendship “sets us up well for the new world order.”Which has me wondering: What’s the plan if China invades Taiwan? Are we going to keep the trade going while issuing a multitude of empty statements condemning the conflict in the South China Sea? In 2023, President Xi Jinping had instructed the army to be ready by 2027 for a Taiwan invasion, according to U.S. intelligence at the time. Carney seemed to be aware of the risks a year ago when he identified China as our biggest security threat.

Unless there are stricter mechanisms for accountability, nothing prevents what you are about to read from happening again and again. Take the procurement and purchase of electric buses in Edmonton and Calgary. CBC reported that by late 2023, only 16 of Edmonton’s 60 electric buses were fit to be on the roads on a given morning. In August 2025, Calgary Transit announced the procurement of 120 new electric buses and linked the decision to federal support and diversification of fuel sources. Edmonton and Calgary committed sums large enough to change the trajectory of other urgent files, then treated accountability as optional.
