2022 World Cup: My Escape From Rape In Qatar – Ghanaian Female Photographer
A Ghanaian female photographer, Senyuiedzorm Awusi Adadevoh, has disclosed that she was nearly raped in Qatar. She added that she is only sharing her ordeal to ensure that no visitor who has travelled to witness the World Cup goes through what she experienced. “So, I was getting back home at about 2 a.m., and I saw a young man from afar, an Arabic young man in white, maybe between 17 to 20 years. The journalist urged Ghanaians and other nationals who are visiting Qatar for the World Cup to make sure that they are always travelling in pairs. She also urged the Qatari authorities to warn their citizens against engaging in such acts.

Govt to recruit 1570 staff for OGM in 2023 despite ban on employment - MP alleges
“The Akufo-Addo/Bawumia/Ofori-Atta govt announced a total freeze in public sector jobs during the 2023 Budget presentation but why is the notorious Office of Government Machinery (OGM) exempted? “Page 230 of the 2023 Budget reveals a higher staff strength ceiling of 3,681 up from 2,111 contained on page 273 in the 2022 Budget. This means govt projects to recruit an additional 1,570 OGM workers in 2023. The government announced that it will freeze the hiring of public and civil servants for the 2023 financial year. Nana Ama McBrown who is the host of United Showbiz on UTV, the channel on which the said comments were passed, has been fined GH¢60,000, said Chairman Wontumi. The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is in court with Afia Schwarzenegger after the socialite proclaimed publicly that she had been in an amorous relationship with the politician. Afia restated her allegations on the United Showbiz show hosted by Nana Ama McBrown with two co-panelists, A Plus and Mr. Logic also making pronouncements on Afia’s allegations despite the matter being before the courts. On July 14, 2022, Chairman Wontumi subsequently dragged Afia Schwarzenegger, Nana Ama McBrown, Kwame A Plus, Mr Logic and Fadda Dickson before court for contempt.
