Onion export trends in India
Following the Indian government's decision to lift the onion export ban on May 4, 2024, which included a minimum export price (MEP) of USD 550 per ton and an export duty of 40%, the country has reported onion exports amounting to 260,000 tons up until July 31, 2024. This development was shared by the Minister of State for Food and Consumer Affairs, B L Verma, highlighting the current fiscal year's performance in comparison to the previous year's total exports of 1.6 million tons. The government's intervention in onion trading also extended to procurement activities, with 468,000 tons of onions purchased primarily from Maharashtra through NCCF and NAFED to stabilize prices. Notably, the price realization for onion farmers has seen an improvement, with the average monthly mandi modal prices in Maharashtra ranging between Rs 1,230 to 2,578 per 100 kg in the current year, showing a significant increase from the previous year's prices. The average procurement price for the price stabilization buffer this year was Rs 2,833 per 100 kg, marking a 64 percent increase from the prior year.

जयपुर में एटीएम लूट के मामले में पुलिस के हाथ दूसरे दिन भी खाली हैं। वहीं, इस लूट का सीसीटीवी और एक वीडियो सामने आया है। वीडियो मौके पर मौजूद एक कबाड़ी ने बनाया। वीडियो में दिख रहा है कि बुधवार सुबह करीब 5.15 बजे फॉरच्यूनर गाड़ी में आए बदमाशों के पास. ऐसे हुआ पूरा घटना क्रमबुधवार सुबह तड़के करीब 5.15 बजे फॉरच्यूनर गाड़ी में हथियारों और औजारों के साथ बदमाश मौके पर पहुंचे। गैस कटर से ATM को काटकर, कार से रस्सी के सहारे एटीएम को बांध कर तोड़ा। फिर गाड़ी को बैक लगाकर ATM उसमें लोड कर भाग गए।इस लूट की वारदात के समय कचरा बीनने वाले पति-पत्नी भी अपना साइकिल रिक्शा लेकर मौके पर पहुंचे थे। यह सब देख महिला बदमाशों के नजदीक भी गई। इस दौरान एक बदमाश ने महिला के पास आकर उसको धमकी दी। महिला कचरा उठाने के बहाने घटना स्थल के आस पास घूमती रही। इसके बाद दोनों ने आगे जाकर कुछ अन्य लोगों को घटना के बारे में बताया। इसके बाद कुछ लोग वहां पहुंचे, लेकिन बदमाशों को पकड़ने की हिम्मत नहीं जुटा पाते। पुलिस को सूचना देते हैं।कार से रस्सी बांधकर एटीएम को खींचा।5 मिनट में वारदात को अंजाम दियाफॉरच्यूनर गाड़ी में आए बदमाश महज 5 मिनट में पूरी वारदात को अंजाम देकर फरार हो गए। बदमाशों के जाने के बाद लोगों ने पुलिस को सूचना दी, लेकिन तब तक देर हो चुकी थी। हालांकि मौके पर पहुंच कर पुलिस ने बाहर जाने वाले रास्तों पर नाकेबंदी लगाई। उसका भी फायदा नहीं मिला हैं।
