Male teachers behaving badly as TSC deregisters tutors
Male teachers account for almost all the teachers deregistered by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) for various offences, official data shows. In 2023, only two female teachers were deregistered during the months of March, August, September, October, and November. In 2023, a total of 172 male teachers were deregistered, with only one female teacher facing similar action. In contrast, the number of female teachers deregistered remained static, with only one female teacher deregistered in March 2023, March 2024 and June 2024. According to the notice issued on April 20, TSC deregistered 23 teachers effective October 23, 2023 and 43 teachers effective March 8, 2024.

The Brazilian government recently published a list of around 200 betting sites that have been licensed to operate after agreeing to the new regulations.

ODM says they had nothing to do with DP ouster
The Orange Democratic Party has distanced itself from Tuesday’s impeachment of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua saying it had nothing to do with it. Deputy party leader Abdulswamad Nassir Hassan says the ouster was purely a parliamentary process exercised by MPs in their individual capacity as people’s representatives. “Hayo hayatuhusu sisi, wabunge wamefanya kivyao (It doesn’t concern us, MPs acted individually) we respect their decision; it was not a party decision, it was not sanctioned by the party,” he said. Speaker of the Senate Amason Kingi on Wednesday gazetted a two-day session beginning Wednesday, October 16, for the plenary to hear the charges against the embattled DP. Nassir said decisions made by ODM members on the floor of the House regarding the proposed impeachment of Gachagua are not party-related.

Cosmic discovery solves black hole mystery that had perplexed scientists

This makes Red Lake School District #38 one of the first public school districts in the US with a predominantly Indigenous population (98%) to tap into funding from the EPA’s Clean School Bus Program, which granted the district $790,000 to buy electric school buses and chargers. We’re proud to have acquired these two electric school buses, and we believe they will serve us well.”The sovereign tribal nation’s district, which serves 1,560 students, partnered with Highland Electric Fleets, a company that provides Electrification-as-a-Service for school bus fleets in North America, to procure two Blue Bird Type C Vision Electric school buses and two EV chargers for its bus depot. Each of the new electric buses will transport about 50 students, and with the charging infrastructure in place, the electric buses will have an average range of 110 miles per day with a full midday charge.
