Nuggi was then taken in by the New Zealand SPCA. It broke rescuers' hearts to watch the obese dog struggling. It was the worst case of an overweight dog they had ever encountered, Todd Westwood, the CEO of the country's SPCA, says. It's come to light that she fed Nuggi between eight and 10 pieces of chicken every day, as well as dog biscuits. "Being a responsible dog owner involves providing your dog with sufficient exercise and a good diet, and clearly that wasn't the case here," Westwood says.

Truncated sentences and repetition of key words appeared characteristic of generative AI applications like ChatGPT. Because NZ Herald is a pimp for the Real Estate Industry and draw most of their dwindling revenue from real estate now. That need to satsosy the Real Estate Pimps overshadows every other editorial instinct. News that the NZ Herald has walked away from the only thing they had left, an Editorial voice, and left it to fucking AI is an audacity beyond hilarity.

John Makatoa Lomu, the former All Black star's younger brother, appeared at the Manukau District Court on Friday where his court ordered name suppression lapsed. The 46-year-old, together with Silila Vaivai, face charges of importing and possessing methamphetamine. Lomu declined to talk to Stuff as he left Court and hid his face with his black hoodie. In 2019, John Lomu told Niu FM that Jonah got him his first car when he was still in school. Jonah Lomu, aged 40, died from a heart attack in November 2015 following a long struggle with kidney failure.

An Auckland apartment developer has been put into interim receivership by the High Court. Several companies under the umbrella of property developer Du Val Group have been placed in interim receivership by the High Court. The interim receivership relates to Du Val Capital Partners Ltd, along with what the FMA describes as "a number of entities within the Du Val Group." Du Val Capital Partners is a 100% subsidiary of Du Val Group NZ Ltd.Du Val is a residential property developer that sources funds from investors that meet the "wholesale investor" guidelines. As well as placing the various Du Val entities into interim receivership, the High Court also approved the FMA's request for asset preservation orders, which the FMA said were to support what it described as an active investigation into Du Val Group. According to Companies Office records, John Kenyon Clarke is a director of Du Val Group NZ Ltd.Du Val Group NZ Ltd is jointly owned by Charlotte Marie Clarke and Karapiro Corporate Trustees Ltd, which is in turn jointly owned by Charlotte Marie Clarke and John Kenyon Clarke.

A WorkSafe spokesperson said it has opened an investigation into the incident and extended its sympathy to the victim’s whānau. "Students should be able to participate safely, and parents and whānau must have confidence their rangatahi will be kept safe. "Kymani was a vibrant and cherished ākonga who touched the lives of many with her kindness, aroha and beautiful spirit." The centre will be closed "for all public public skating" on Thursday and Friday, its Facebook page stated. "Our traumatic incident team is available to support the school for as long as needed.

On the 19 July , only 2 of 7 Board members remained. Labour’s Verrall said the “near clear-out” was linked to the level of funding provided by the Government being insufficient to address the health system.
