If national success cannot be felt in the kitchens, clinics, and classrooms of poor households, then it is not success at all. The most honest measure of a nation’s progress should be how a poor household prospers in real terms not in headlines, not in averages, but in lived reality. Prospering in real terms means sustained improvements after accounting for inflation, volatility, and risk. A success metric grounded in real terms would ask: Has the cost of a nutritious food basket fallen relative to wages? It should be evident in the steady improvement of the poorest households’ real lives.

Rachi: The Sindh government has decided to take strict action on corruption complaints received against various major departments across the province. In this regard, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sindh Anti-Corruption Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mehar in which a detailed briefing was given on the annual performance report of the Anti-Corruption Department and corruption complaints received against various departments, while important decisions were taken approving strict and immediate action on the complaints. DG Anti-Corruption Imtiaz Ali Abro said that a total of 13,603 corruption complaints were received against 22 different departments across Sindh.
