The aim of US foreign policy is a US-dominated world, in which the US writes the global trade and financial rules, controls advanced technologies, maintains militarily supremacy, and dominates all potential competitors. Unless US foreign policy is changed to recognize the need for a multipolar world, it will lead to more wars, and possibly World War 3. "At the end of World War 2, the US was far ahead of the rest of the world in economic, technological and military power. Preeminent power"In 2015, US Ambassador Robert Blackwill, an important US foreign policy strategist, described the US grand strategy with exceptional clarity. Major nations from Brazil to India and beyond aim for a multipolar world.

Being small, less than 1,000 gross tons, it was supposed to be exempted from harbor pilot fees. Also small and exempted, the owner protested the P24,794 pilotage. In September 2021, Batangas Harbor Pilot Co. imposed P24,794 flat rate for all vessel sizes in the province’s nine government and private ports. The Manila Bay Harbor Pilot’s Partnership (MBHPP) suddenly banned Avega’s two tugboats from berthing and undocking its vessels there. Domestic ships previously were allowed to go in and out unassisted by tugs and harbor pilots.

UNITED NATIONS: Some 90 percent of young women and teenage girls in the world's poorest countries have no access to the internet, a United Nations report published Wednesday said. Adolescent girls and young women are being "shut out when it comes to digital skills," it said. This translates to about 65 million adolescent girls and young women aged 15-24 who don't have access to the internet, versus some 57 million of their male peers. In a study of 41 countries, Unicef found "households are much more likely to provide mobile phones for boys than girls." Female youth are 13 percent less likely to own a mobile phone, Unicef said, "limiting their ability to participate in the digital world."

Previous NextJane Cheung and Eunice LamA 30-year-old Hong Kong firefighter was arrested by Japanese police three days after he allegedly raped a young Japanese woman when he asked for directions and dragged her to a restaurant toilet. He was wandering in Chiyoda in central Tokyo and bumped into a Japanese woman in her early 20s. Under Japanese law, rape or forcible sexual intercourse carries a jail sentence of between five and 20 years. "The most important reason is that there are no extradition agreements between Hong Kong and Japan," Luk said. "He would probably be tried and sentenced according to Japanese law - not under the common law body of Hong Kong."

Before discussing them, however, we must strongly keep in mind that two variants of these forms are used in sentence constructions where emphasis is not intended. The first variant works with the adverb "not" in negative sentences, and the second variant forms the interrogative mode by inverting the normal sentence construction to form a question. Another emphasis device for emphasis in English, one that's often misunderstood and often maligned, is the inverted sentence. Feel the emotional difference between the following normal-order sentence and its corresponding inverted sentence: (1) "Her behavior could be explained in no other way." When using inverted sentences, we must make an extra effort to double-check agreement of the verb with the subject.
